Show over, but watch this space

So, the Open Studio show has come to a close along with the Brighton Festival 2009. Definitely a worthwhile experience, and one that has brought our Lansdowne Mews community of artists, designers, makers and musicians together through the simple process of opening doors and mingling (fuelled by Monster Munch, the occasional luncheon Guinness and this last weekend, the addition of much-better-than-average BBQ tucker).

Collaborative juices now flowing as they are, after these last few weekends, the plan (though still in its gestation phase) will be to put on regular events to showcase all the creative stuff that is going on in the Mews.

So, watch this space.

Weekend 16-17 May

Another weekend of the Lucky 13 Open Studio show coming up. Hopefully the steady stream of visitors will continue; good Brighton&Hove summer weather would help. But it's a good place to come in out of the rain and have a cuppa anyway.

I've been reminded that I should get links on the blog to other folk involved.

Kirst's website is stridedesigns where you can see more of her creatures and bespoke bags. The Mr. B comb-over fella is especially worth a look (see above), as is Super Alan. They're all good in fact, highly recommended.

Open Studio Art Show May 2009

This is the flyer for my Open Studio art show. The studio in Hove will be open every weekend during the Brighton Festival in May. Recent paintings of mine are on show, as well as creatures made by Kirstin Stride and other work by Jake Pond and Amy Godliman.

First blog

All a bit new to Luddite me, but a space to post exhibition news, art shows that I'm involved in, pics of paintings, including works in progress. That sort of thing. I'll be back in a bit with info on the Brighton Fringe Festival Open Studio show in which I have a number of paintings on display.
